The SaraLinda

By TB

We embark on our fly fishing adventure soon but needed to find our “home away from home” first.  We are now the proud owners of a Winnebago View 24J which we will travel the country in this year (and beyond).  While it is small, we wanted to be nimble to be able to get to places we might otherwise not fit into… national park campgrounds, small state campgrounds, pull offs next to the rivers, etc…

We also felt our RV needed a name. As our dear friend Chuck Raplinger shared… Roy Rogers had “Trigger”…Hopalong Cassidy had “Topper”…Sky King had the “Songbird”….John Steinbeck had “Rocinante”… We tried out fishing names like Midge, Brookie, Brownie, the Hatch and more. While all those are great, we decided to name her SaraLinda in honor of our sisters who’ve passed before us. It will be kind of nice having them along with us throughout the trip.

Please raise a glass with us to christen the SaraLinda! ?
